The College is committed to providing a multi-faceted educational programme of the highest quality for physicians in order to meet all of their educational needs. The primary activities of the Education Department include:

  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Examinations

The College Examinations Department administers and delivers the following examinations and assessments for physicians.

  • MRCP(UK) Examination
  • Diploma in Geriatric Medicine
  • Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene

Training and career progression

The Royal College of Physicians offers both financial support and advice to doctors working in, or wish to work in, the UK. The schemes on offer include:

  • Research and travelling fellowships, lectureships and prizes
  • The International Sponsorship Scheme
  • Advice on career progression from the Joint Royal College of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB)
