Travelling to the College?
We recommend this journey planner provided by Transport for London to find up-to-the-minute information about your route through London to the Royal College of Physicians. We are listed as one of their "places of interest" to make finding us even easier. It has details of how to find us from anywhere in London, by public transport, cycling or walking.
Accessible Access
The Royal College of Physicians is a Grade 1 listed building and as such there are a number of constraints on the adjustments that we can make to the building.
As we wish to make your visit to the College enjoyable and productive, please advise the College staff in the Meetings & Events Department either via the organiser of the event you would like to attend or directly (tel: 020 7034 4900) about your visit and any special requests you might have.
Please bear in mind when reading these instructions that College staff are always at hand and will be glad to assist in any way if required.
Car Parking
You are very welcome to park your car in the car park, if you are a wheelchair user. Please notify us in advance and a space will be allocated. Please also let us know if you require any assistance.
The car park is at the front of the College. There is a barrier and you will need to push the button on the intercom to alert the reception desk of your arrival, who will then raise the barrier to allow you entry.
Accessible Entrance
There are two designated parking bays on the right hand side of the car park as you enter, close to the wheelchair accessible entrance to the main building No 11 St Andrews Place. There is a stepped access at the front of the building, or alternatively a sloped approach to the wheelchair accessible entrance.
The doors to the wheelchair accessible entrance will open automatically as you approach. There is also a bell to the right of the doors, which you can push if you require assistance.
Finding your way
As you enter via the wheelchair accessible entrance of the College you are on the Lower Ground Floor. You will see two lifts on your right, please use these lifts if you wish to go to any of the following rooms:

Members of the audience enter the Seligman Theatre on the Lower Ground Floor. There is space at the rear of the Seligman Theatre for wheelchair users.
If you are a speaker in the Seligman Theatre (and a wheelchair user) you will be advised to park your car in the rear staff car park, which is entered from Albany street.
The entrance into the building will be opened for you and the wheelchair lift will be left in position. The lift will take you down to the lower level Seligman stage area. (Note: There will be a member of staff in attendance to assist you in the operation of this stairlift.)
Hearing assistance systems
Please note that we have induction loops in the following rooms:
- Wolfson Theatre
- Seligman Theatre

- Osler Room
In the following rooms we use a portable system
