Eat, Drink and Be Cured

An opportunity for Fellows, Members and their guests to view the College’s rare medical receipt books: a fascinating collection of 16th to 18th Century medical and culinary recipe books compiled and used by housewives but containing many remedies devised and used by physicians of the time. Dr Richard Aspin, Acting Head of Special Collections at the Wellcome Library will discuss this popular topic with examples from the Wellcome’s extensive collections.

Reception 6pm, presentation from 6.30pm, supper at 8pm

Tickets for drinks, lecture and dinner: £30 per person for Fellows, Members and their guests. Non-College Members £45.
Tickets for drinks and lecture only: £5 per person for Fellows, Members and their guests. Non-College Members £10.
