Royal Connections

This small virtual exhibition highlights a selection of objects in the College’s historical collections and their Royal connections. Included are portraits of members of the Royal family and items given to physicians from members of the Royal family in gratitude for their service. Through biographical details of those Monarchs who form a part of the College’s portrait collection and the fascinating and individual histories of several silver items, we hope to provide brief glimpses into episodes in the Colleges history and provide an insight into the relationship between physicians and their Royal patrons.
