Information for Journalists

The Press Office is here to help journalists understand the work of the College, its Members and Fellows and the world of postgraduate medical education and training. By taking a proactive approach to PR, promoting its

policies, working party reports, conferences and activities we support the College's goal of improving patient care. Regular press conferences, press releases, diary notes and comments help keep you informed - if you

would like to be on our mailing list do contact us.

Publications

College publications are free to journalists and can be sent in PDF or hard copy form. Many are free to download from our website. We issue a press statement highlighting interesting articles from our bi-montly journal Clinical Medicine. Full copies of the journal are available on request.

Conferences

Journalists are welcome to attend RCP conferences and lectures free of charge. As well as the main teaching

conferences to update doctors and other health professionals on state-of-the-art care in our specialties, we also hold conferences on wider medico-political and global issues.

Experts

Our committees hold a wealth of medical expertise, and we will try to put you in touch with someone who can be interviewed or provide background information on clinical topics. As all our experts have very busy working lives caring for patients, the more notice you give us the better.
