Charles is Professor of the History of Islamic Influences in Europe at the Warburg Institute, University of London.

Talks exploring Arabic-Islamic medical tradition and its legacy, East and West, featuring the Royal College of Physicians’ rare collection of Islamic medical manuscripts dating from the 13th century. This collection has been newly researched and is being displayed for the first time, in our new exhibition:
