The Patient and Carer Involvement Steering Group was established in January 2004. It operates at a strategic level and assists with the development of College policy to improve clinical standards for the benefit of patients. Its role is also to ensure that the views of patients and carers are fully taken into account within the work of the College.
The Steering Group has a membership of 12 and reports to College Council through the Clinical Standards Board:
