23 February 2012
Responding to a letter published in The Daily Telegraph today (23 February 2012), Sir Richard Thompson, president of the Royal College of Physicians, said:
‘Since the publication of the white paper in June 2010, the RCP has met many politicians from all major parties, to brief them on our serious concerns about the proposed NHS reforms. Our fellows are correct that the RCP is a non-political body, and as such, will not turn down any opportunity to make our members views heard at the highest level.’
