Workforce issues

The Royal College of Physicians is pleased to publish its report ‘Women and medicine: the future’. The work was commissioned following heightened interest in the increasing number of women entering the medical profession at undergraduate level, and associated concern that the profession would fast become ‘female dominated’.

The results of the research are presented in two forms:

• ‘Long’ report - containing a full analysis and description of findings (PDF 841k )
• 'Short' report - setting out key factual findings, along with five recommendations (PDF 165k )
