National Clinical Guidelines for diagnosis and management in primary and secondary care

The guideline was commissioned by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), and was used as the basis for the shorter NICE guideline. The NICE guideline was published on 28 July and is available from the NICE website.

The full guideline, which gives guidance on the management, monitoring and support for people with Diabetes Type 1, is available to order at £25.00 or can be downloaded from this website. The main recommendations of the NICE guideline follow those in the full guideline.
