The FallSafe falls prevention resources pack is now available.
We recognise that there are several falls prevention initiatives already active within the NHS. FallSafe is not a competing initiative; it is a major step forward in bringing together existing and new falls prevention resources. We hope that these resources are helpful in supporting your local initiatives to reduce harm to your patients from falls.
It contains the learning from the project, care bundle information and templates, a falls prevention e-learning course and many other resources. The individual resources are below. Please note this version of the pack is abridged and does not contain the Elsevier article (Oliver D, Healey F, Haines T. Preventing falls and fall-related injuries in hospitals. Clin Geriatr Med 2010;26(4):645–92) or the abbreviated mental test scores (AMTS). There are links below for MHRA, and CAMS.
The Health Foundation FallSafe report can be found on the FallSafe project home page.
E-learning can be accessed via Electronic Staff Record, NHS repository and learning@NHSwales but cannot be directly downloaded from this site due to copyright restrictions.
