The Yorkshire regional advisers are very much involved in the regional education programme. Two of our regional advisers represent the RCP on the Postgraduate School of Medicine Management Committee, with one leading the School Education Sub-committee.

Our regional office organises five annual G(I)M SpR training days and two annual seminars in medicine, open to all grades.

Approval for consultant and specialty doctor job descriptions is coordinated through the regional office for new and replacement appointments within the region. The regional office also coordinates and facilitates the MRCP Part 1 examination held in Leeds. The regional advisers review fellowship and ACCEA nominations and they work in partnership with RCP tutors and local training programme directors to assist the exchange of information between the RCP and the region.
