The patient carer network at the Royal College of Physicians consists of patients, carers and members of the public from a wide range of geographical background who have opted to help the RCP develop and enhance its relationship with patients in the interest of improving healthcare.

There are currently 62 members of the network. The RCP can draw on this wide pool of skills and knowledge, derived from professional and personal experience, which provides a valuable insight into the needs of the communities in which Network members live, thus better informing our work.

Patient and Carer Network members join the Network for a period of four years and once appointed undertake a number of activities including membership on RCP committees and working parties, providing comment on consultation documents and taking part in invited service reviews.

We are currently recruiting new members to the Patient and Carer Network. Expressions of interest should be sent to piu@rcplondon.ac.uk for further information please contact Nikki Coleman on 020 3075 1237.
