International adviser – Jordan
Dr Ala' Al-Heresh is a senior consultant rheumatologist, founder and ex- head of the rheumatology unit since 1996, King Hussein Medical centre, Jordan.
He did his training in internal medicine in the United Kingdom at Kent and Canterbury hospital. He was awarded the diploma of membership of the Royal College MRCP (UK) 1992, and the fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of London 2003 FRCP (London). He is a member of many professional national and international bodies, the previous president of the Jordanian Rheumatism Society, and a member of the higher scientific committee of the Jordan Medical Council.
His main interest is connective tissue diseases and vasculitis, and he has published many related articles in peer-reviewed journals.
