Dr Mirza is consultant interventional cardiologist born in Suleimani, Kurdistan region, Iraq in 1973. He has finished the school of medicine there in 1998 and finished his postgraduate study in the field of interventional cardiology in 2004.

He founded the first catheterisation laboratory and cardiac hospital in Suleimani. Since then he has done more than 25,000 cases which including cardiac and non – cardiac intervention with structural heart. He is leading a referral tertiary cardiac hospital and responsible for post graduate trainees, having more than 20 international publications and more than 100 presentations in national and international conferences.
