Medical director and consultant in palliative medicine (Marie Curie Hospice, Liverpool)
Dr Chapman has been a consultant in palliative medicine for over a decade, and currently holds the position of medical director at the Marie Curie Hospice in Liverpool.
Laura has been a consultant in Palliative Medicine since 2006, initially working as part of the hospital palliative care team in a busy acute trust, and more recently as medical director of the Marie Curie Hospice in Liverpool. She became involved in postgraduate medical education a number of years ago, becoming the training programme director for palliative medicine in Mersey in 2013.
Discussing her teaching accreditation, Laura said that completing the RCP Educator programme in 2015 'really ignited' her interest in developing teaching skills. 'I was delighted to be asked to join the team which facilitates this programme and particularly enjoy the opportunity to discuss educational challenges with colleagues from a range of backgrounds,' she added.
