Dr Manish Gautam

Dr Manish Gautam is Consultant and Clinical Director for Respiratory Medicine at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust, and honorary Consultant with The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

Manish is a GMC associate and serves on the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board Panel and as OSCE chief invigilator. With the Royal College of Physicians, he is a member of the Respiratory Specialty Certificate Exam Standard Setting Group in addition to being a MRCP UK examiner.

Manish is simulation-based medical education lead for Health Education England North West and director/faculty for a number of national/regional educational events including Accelerated Return to Training.

He has set up a memorandum of understanding with a leading Indian University covering education and research for which he was awarded visiting faculty status in pulmonary medicine. Manish is an advisor to a number of international healthcare institutes including the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, India.

Manish is a proud RCP Fellow, an ambassador for the college’s values and an enthusiastic clinician keen to reduce inequalities across healthcare in the UK and globally.
