Associate global director for Europe
Dr Tómas Thór Ágústsson is a consultant physician in diabetes, endocrinology and internal medicine and is currently the chief medical officer and Landspítali, the National University Hospital of Iceland.
After completing his medical degree at the University of Iceland in 2001, Tomas moved to the UK to complete his postgraduate training in London. He obtained his MRCP in 2006 and has been a fellow of the RCP since 2016. He's held a consultant post at Landspítali since 2013 and obtained his role of chief medical officer after serving as head of postgraduate medicine. Following the successful implementation of internal medicine training and MRCP examinations in Iceland, Tomas has also participated in other international RCP work focused on Education.
