Dr Tun Aung

Dr Tun Aung is a consultant geriatrician, clinical lead for the Frailty and Ageing Department at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and a senior clinical lecturer at Hull York Medical School.

He has held several roles at the RCP, including elected Council member, regional adviser, Global Engagement Committee member, Education Board member, specialty tutor, Medical Training Initiative committee member, exam question writer, mentor and Federation CPD approver.

He has a strong interest in medical education, and he has held several positions with Health Education England. In addition, he has worked as a PACES regional lead, host, chair (national) and cochair (international) for over a decade, and hosted the proof of concept development pilot of PACES 2020.

He has also served as vicechair and the QI lead of the JRCPTB IMT–CMT Advisory Committee, HEE training programme director for CMT and IMT, and director of clinical studies for Hull York Medical School.
