Giridhar Kalamangalam is a Wilder Family Professor at the University of Florida. Giri completed medical school at the Jawaharlal Institute (JIPMER) in Puducherri, India.

Professor Kalamangalam earned a research doctorate in mathematical biology from Oxford before returning to clinical training in the NHS.

He was fellowship trained in clinical neurophysiology at Cleveland Clinic. He was briefly a consultant neurologist in Glasgow before moving to an academic career path in the USA. Giri’s work is devoted to clinical care and research in epilepsy. More generally, he is interested in healthcare models and training in epilepsy and neurology in international settings.
