Ollie Minton

Consultant in Palliative Medicine

Ollie is a Macmillan consultant and honorary senior lecturer in palliative medicine based at St George's University Hospital Foundation NHS trust.

His ongoing research interest is in the long term effects of successful cancer treatment and examining what activity based interventions can reduce the chronic symptoms such as fatigue and pain that occur in the minority. He advocates the use of such interventions for patients undergoing cancer treatment in order to minimise the impact of a range of treatment modalities.

Ollie is also interested in using physical activity in the later stages of illness to maintain function, although at a lower intensity, and is interested in exploring the reasons this is not done.
