Professor John Britton is a professor of epidemiology.

John's main area of research is smoking prevention and other avoidable causes of chronic respiratory disease.

He is also the director of the UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies (UKCTAS), which is a network of tobacco and alcohol research groups from 13 universities led from the University of Nottingham.
