Professor Richard J Maude MBChB Hons BSc DTM&H DPhil MD FRGS FRCP FRSPH

Professor Maude is head of the epidemiology department at Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit, Bangkok, Thailand, where he has worked since 2007.

An associate professor in tropical medicine and assistant director of Graduate Studies at the University of Oxford, he works part-time as an honorary consultant physician at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He is a visiting professor at The Open University, visiting associate professor at The University of Hong Kong, and visiting scientist at Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. His research focuses on the epidemiology of infectious diseases in Asia, for which he collaborates with governments across the region.
