Professor Sue Carr is an elected member of Council at the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
Sue is a consultant nephrologist, director of medical education and associate medical director at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, and honorary professor in medical education at the University of Leicester.
A consultant nephrologist for over 20 years, Sue has broad experience in improving quality of care, clinical research, medical education and management. She is heavily involved in the development of the wider workforce, including physician associates and non-training grade doctors. She was an associate postgraduate dean for 4 years prior to becoming director of medical education at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
Before being elected to Council, Sue was actively involved in the work of the RCP, including as a previous chair of the Renal Curriculum Review Group, a PACES examiner, MCQ question writer, MRCP Part 1 and nephrology specialty exam board member.
