Want to be mentored?

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) offers an exclusive one-to-one mentoring scheme to provide RCP members with support and guidance as they develop their careers.

Why be mentored?

The RCP mentoring scheme gives you the unique opportunity to receive individual guidance and support tailored to your personal career goals. Whatever your interests, needs or ambitions, one of our UK-wide mentors will be right for you.

You’ll benefit from:

  • an easy-to-navigate online platform that gives you full control of your profile and the ability to search and choose from our bank of trained mentors across a range of specialties
  • one-to-one guidance and support in achieving your career ambitions
  • improved confidence and resilience
  • a safe space to explore your strengths and weaknesses.

Who is eligible?

The RCP mentoring scheme is open to subscribing RCP members and fellows at foundation level and above. If you are an RCP trainee member (in foundation, core medical or specialty training), an SAS doctor or new consultant, you are eligible to become a mentee.

If you aren't currently an RCP member but would like access to this benefit, you can join the RCP online.

As a core medical trainee, specialty trainee, SAS doctor or new consultant you can also become an RCP mentor.
