The Trainees Committee of the Royal College of Physicians invite submissions for the Teale essay prize for trainees. The winner will receive a prize of £200, a fee-waiver for the College’s annual conference, and the winning entry may be published by the RCP.
How to enter
To enter, please write an essay of 500 – 1,500 words in connection with the following:
What is the impact of the climate crisis on healthcare and what is the role of the physician in mitigating this?
Manuscripts exceeding 1,500 words will not be considered.
Please email your CV and completed application form in PDF format to fundingandwards@rcp.ac.uk no later than 23:59, Friday 8 March 2024.
Eligibility
- Entrants must be members of the RCP at the time of application
- Entrants should be trainees in one of the 30 specialties of the RCP as outlined by the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (not necessarily MRCP) at the time of writing
- The essay must not have been previously published.
