The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is seeking a clinical geneticist, who is an RCP fellow, to chair the Joint Committee on Genomics in Medicine (JCGM) as a representative of the RCP.
The JCGM is joint committee between the RCP, the British Society for Genetic Medicine (BSGM) and the Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) involved in providing advice on service development, standards for clinical care, education, consent and confidentiality, and delivering genomics through clinical practice.
It meets three times a year to share information and facilitate collaboration. Membership includes senior officers of the parent bodies, senior and junior consultants, and trainee and lay representatives. Members serve for up to 4 years and the chair role serves for 3 years.
