Patient, carer and public involvement at the RCP

Are you or have you been a patient or carer? Would you like to contribute to improving the quality of health and social care for patients, carers and the public?

If you answered yes to both questions then we would like to hear from you. The Patient Involvement Unit at the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is seeking new members for its Patient and Carer Network (PCN) in Wales.


The PCN provides volunteering opportunities to ensure that patients and carers are fully involved in the work of the RCP, to better inform our work to improve healthcare standards. PCN volunteer roles vary. They include:

  • being part of a patient and carer forum 
  • commenting on RCP documents and current NHS Wales policies
  • attending focus groups and events on behalf of the RCP.
