Two RCP vacancies on the Joint Specialty Committee for Acute Internal Medicine

A vacancy has arisen for two Royal College of Physicians (RCP) fellows, who are doctors in any specialty who contribute directly or indirectly to the acute medical take, to join the JSC for Acute Internal Medicine. The committee meets three times a year at the RCP in London.

The JSC is a standing committee established jointly between the Society for Acute Medicine (SAM) and the RCP to share information and facilitate collaboration. Membership includes senior officers of the parent bodies, senior and junior consultants, trainee representatives and members from the RCP's Patient and Carer Network. Members serve between 2-4 years.

Current JSC topics include:

  • workforce and training
  • policy issues
  • Future Hospital Programme
  • Shape of Training.
