Vacancy for RCP censor

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) invites applications from fellows for the role of RCP censor, to take up office from 1 August 2018 and serve to 31 July 2021.

RCP fellows who wish to apply should be interested in education, or feel that they can draw on any particular experience or specific interest in more general matters relating to the provision of healthcare. Relevant experience may include policy, service delivery, aspects of education, or any other field that would provide a source of assistance or support for senior RCP officers.

The office of censor is a senior one, going back to the origins of the RCP. At any time there are six in post (as well as the education and training vice president, who is also known as the senior censor) and their role has always been concerned with the MRCP and thus education.

If you would like to discuss the role prior to applying please contact Dr Emma Vaux, RCP senior censor and vice president (education and training):

Please return applications to by 5pm on Tuesday 12 June 2018.

Shortlisting will take place on Tuesday 19 June. The provisional date for interviews is Tuesday 3 July.
