Acute medicine is a 1-day annual event at the heart of the RCP's conferences programme that ensures delegates have the necessary professional knowledge required on the acute medical take.
What you will learn
The conference covers common clinical conditions which present particular challenges to clinicians working in acute medicine. It includes interactive sessions and take-home messages that can be applied to day-to-day practice.
A full programme is available to download below.
Dr Paarul Prinja is consultant acute and obstetric physician at New Cross Hospital, Royal Wolverhamton NHS Trust. Read up on what she'll discuss during the day, and why she's excited to speak at our largest conference dedicated to acute medicine:
'I'm thrilled to be talking about acute medicine and obstetric medicine at such a great venue, with engaged delegates and opportunities to network. I will be talking about how to manage acute medical problems within pregnancy, looking in-depth at common problems physicians typically face with this patient group when they present to acute medicine. I will cover how to deal with a pregnant woman who is breathless, has chest pain, or presents with headaches. I'll also offer top tips for physicians when they manage the obstetric patient. See you on 24 June!'
