Join Dr Sarah Clarke, Professor Andrew Elder and Mr Mike McKirdy for a special evening event, hosted online for doctors-in-training and specialty doctors in Northern Ireland.
This digital networking event will take place via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 1 March 2023 between 7pm-8.30pm.
Don't miss this opportunity to tell us about your experience working in HSCNI
Following the publication of our joint briefing last year, The time is now: an action plan to rebuild the health and care system in Northern Ireland, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG) published a joint statement calling for a multi-year budget to protect the health service in Northern Ireland, and in October, the RCP published The time is now: 6 months on. Since then, progress at Stormont has stalled.
Now we want to hear from you: our trainees on the ground...
Our colleges want to speak out on your behalf, raising awareness of the vital work done by trainee physicians and supporting you to provide excellent patient care. We want to keep the pressure on, reminding politicians that while negotiations continue in Stormont and Westminster, our fellows and members continue to work day in, day out in a health service that is struggling to recruit, while dealing with growing patient demand and a crisis in social care.
What do we need to know? How can we advocate on your behalf?
