The New Consultants Forum provides practical support for new consultants by covering many aspects of the role, including medico-legal elements, the next steps of the Future Hospital Programme and RCP Quality Improvement (RCPQI), and the chief registrar scheme.
Speakers will draw on their own experience, offering inspiration and advice for those at the start of their consultant career. The programme has been developed by the RCP’s New Consultants Committee representative for the Mersey region, Dr Alastair Gilmore.
The event is free to attend and is worth 3 CPD points.
The event is for consultants who are in their first 5 years in post. SpRs in their final year of training are also welcome to attend.
Registration and a buffet lunch will take place from 12.15pm. The session will start at 1.10pm and is expected to finish at approximately 4.30pm.
