Plague and potions workshop

A rare opportunity for young visitors to take part in a unique creative workshop with medically trained herbalists.

Led by Kim Walker and Vicky Chown of Handmade Apothecary, this workshop has been created so that children can find out what it was like to live 350 years ago during the Great Plague of London. Participating children will also hear captivating stories about healing plants, explore our medicinal garden and mix their own plague remedies.

  • Tickets cost £5 per child, although places are limited.
  • Suggested age for attending children is 7-11 years.
  • Refreshments will be provided.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
