RCP-SoPW joint annual update in GIM and acute medicine - Cardiff

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and Society of Physicians in Wales (SoPW) joint annual update in GIM and acute medicine will take place on Thursday 14 November and Friday 15 November at the Marriott Hotel, Cardiff.

Programme Highlights

We are excited to confirm that the Bradshaw Lecture this year will be delivered by Professor Rachel Batterham, professor of obesity, diabetes and endocrinology and head of the Centre for Obesity Research, Department of Medicine, University College London. We will also be joined by the Minister for Health and Social Services, Vaughan Gething AM, who will deliver his keynote speech on issues facing the Wales NHS, including the forthcoming HEIW workforce strategy and the Welsh Government's plan for health and social care, A Healthier Wales.

The programme is currently being finalised and topics will include:
• gastroenterology, haematology, cardiology, respiratory, sexual health, neurology
• continence, advance care planning, transition in adolescence
• endocrinology, quality improvement and much more.

Abstract Competition

The deadline for submitting Abstracts for poster display has now passed. 
 

Conference Dinner

All delegates and their partners are invited to attend the conference dinner on Thursday 14 November which will be hosted by RCP president, Professor Andrew Goddard and RCP Wales vice president, Dr Gareth Llewelyn.  The cost for a 3-course meal is £35 per person.
