This popular regional gathering for our retired physicians will include a talk from Brigadier Tim Hodgetts, CBE QHS, senior health adviser to the British army. Honorary professor of emergency medicine and commissioner at the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
This presentation will give an insight into critical decision making and lessons in leadership based on personal experience of some of the most challenging clinical situations imaginable. These include, leading the response when your hospital has been blown up by a terrorist bomb, leading a remote field hospital when it is quarantined and two-thirds of the staff are incapacitated, and leading a multinational field hospital during high tempo war fighting. Many of the lessons, although extreme, are transferable to civilian practice.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be a riveting talk by this exceptional speaker. Please view the programme here.
