This gathering is open to all our West Midlands and Oxford and Thames Valley retired or partially retired Physicians.
Our programme will include a talk on:
‘Sickness in Birmingham and Wolverhampton workhouses’
The talk will discuss the character, scope and scale of medicine practised in Birmingham and Wolverhampton workhouses from the start of the New Poor Law in 1834 until the outbreak of World War I in 1914.
This looks to be a fascinating subject and we do hope you will join us at this most enjoyable gathering.
