I received a very warm welcome and my supervising consultant was kind enough to take me around the hospital personally and show me all areas that will be relevant to my training.
Your application to be interviewed will only be considered for shortlisting if you:
- have passed IELTS (Academic or Academic UKVI) to the required level of at least 7.5 overall and at least 7.0 in each category or OET (medicine version) with grade B in all test areas
- have been in continuous clinical practice for the past 12 months, and for 3 of the past 5 years after graduation
- have not failed PLAB
- have a postgraduate qualification eg MRCP part 1, DNB, MD
- are a national of and practise in the country where the interview is being held.
The Medical Training Initiative enables participants to work and train in the UK for a maximum of 2 years. It is designed to support trainees who wish to return to their home countries after completing the fellowship.
