A major new report released today by the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) calls for a radical change in the way the NHS treats smoking, by providing opt-out cessation services as a routine component of all hospital care.
The RCP welcomes the publication of Professor Norman Williams' rapid policy review into gross negligence manslaughter in healthcare, and its recommendations focused on creating a stronger culture of learning within the NHS.
The RCP was invited to attend a roundtable meeting in the European Parliament earlier this month to discuss challenges and opportunities for the recognition of cancer nursing in Europe. This formed part of events to celebrate European Cancer Nursing Day on Friday 18 May.
The Patient and Carer Network (PCN) has today released its first annual impact report, developed to provide an overview of PCN involvement in the Royal College of Physicians' (RCP’s) work throughout 2017.
