A report from the RCP shows that 43% of patients admitted for hospital treatment of COPD were readmitted at least once in the 3 months following discharge.

Today, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has launched Primary care: Time to take a breath, the UK’s first ever primary care snapshot audit assessing the clinical effectiveness of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) care in Wales.

The RCP has joined the Alliance to Save our Antibiotics, which represents organisations from across Europe spanning the health, medical, and environmental sectors.
