RCP welcomes new appointments at European Public Health Alliance (EPHA)

The RCP is pleased to welcome the election of new European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) president, Mr Freek Spinnewijn from the European Federation of National Homeless Associations, as well as the appointment of RCP’s European engagement advisor Paul Belcher as strategic advisor to the new EPHA president.

The appointments took place during the 25th anniversary Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Brussels at the end of June, alongside the election of representatives of the European Specialist Nurses Organisation and the International Diabetes Federation to the new EPHA board.

The RCP has been a member of this leading Brussels based health advocacy group for over a decade, providing a key opportunity for the college to contribute its expertise to a wide range of health policy discussions at European level. Professor John Britton (chair, RCP Tobacco Advisory Group) and Professor Nick Sheron (RCP representative on European Alcohol Policies) are both members of the EPHA Scientific Advisory Group.
