Royal College of Physicians responds to Office for Statistics Regulation's review of adult social care

Professor Andrew Goddard, president of the Royal College of Physicians said:

“Today’s report once again shows the need for the government to get to grips with social care. If we are to plan well for the future, we need a single source of high quality data.

“Social care is a key issue for both politicians and the public, which makes the under-investment and gaps in data collection even less understandable.

"If the prime minister is serious about fixing this problem and integrating health and social care, the government needs to make a financial investment and send a clear message to senior leaders about the importance of high quality data.”
