Professor Evarist Njelesani, president of the East, Central and Southern Africa College of Physicians (ESCACoP), opened Innovation in Medicine 2018’s day 2 morning session with an overview of the clinical challenges facing Africa.
RCP president Professor Dame Jane Dacre invited delegates at Innovation in Medicine 2018 to experience the full programme of events, sessions and debates that will be taking place over the next 2 days.
There is a growing awareness that the contributions UK doctors can make to tackle global health inequalities. The Global Health Exchange programme offers trainees a 1-year placement in a level one district hospital in a resource-poor setting.
All trainees who were offered a post in the first process have now been placed, and we thank HEE, NES, NIMDTA and the Wales Deanery for enabling this to happen.
The third iteration of offers has now been made, and we know that most people have received the same offer, or a better offer, when compared to the original offers process.
The RCP can confirm that revised scores and ranks have been been released to the Oriel website. Candidates in competition for offers have been emailed confirmation of this.
Further to recent messages regarding the necessity to re-run the offers for ST3 medical specialties, RCP president Professor Jane Dacre and RCP registrar Dr Andrew Goddard have emailed candidates to update them with the latest information available.
