The RCP's special adviser on obesity, Professor John Wass, comments on the release of the government's strategy for addressing obesity in children.

The Obesity Health Alliance (OHA), a coalition of 30 national health charities, medical colleges and campaign groups, yesterday welcomed the announcement in the Budget of a tax on the soft drinks industry.

The RCP has produced a briefing in support of Geraint Davies MP’s Private Member’s Bill on Sugar in Food and Drinks (Targets, Labelling and Adverstising) and outlining some key statistics on the prevalence of obesity in the UK.
