The Royal College of Physicians (RCP), Society for Acute Medicine (SAM), British Thoracic Society (BTS) and British Geriatrics Society (BGS) have responded to NHS England’s national approach to 2023/24 winter planning.
The RCP has responded to a new report by The Royal College of Emergency Medicine indicating that 13,000 staffed beds are required in the NHS across the UK to drive meaningful change and improvement.
