Breakthrough series collaboratives are topic specific quality improvement courses which allow NHS teams to come together to learn about quality improvement methodology whilst implementing improvement projects relevant to their organisations. The collaboratives are evidence based from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Breakthrough Series model, which aim to bring about improvement in healthcare services. The RCP breakthrough series is open to UK-based teams only.
Our 12-month topic-specific quality improvement courses, consisting of three 1-day learning sessions plus supporting action periods and webinars, are designed for multidisciplinary teams. The courses are designed for small multidisciplinary teams (consultants, junior doctors, nurses, administrators, managers, patients etc) and each one focuses on a specific clinical specialty or condition.
Full details of future courses – including dates, cost and details on how to apply – will be available below as they are finalised.
