The work of the Young Adults and Adolescents Steering Group (YAASG) focuses on care and services for patients aged 10–25 years who are either presenting for the first time to adult services or transferring from children’s to adult services.
The aim of this project is to develop an initial standard for sharing information on events taking place as part of the Department of Health and Social Care’s 'Healthy Child Programme: Pregnancy and the First 5 Years of Life'.
The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) delivers intensive 2-day communications skills courses overseas designed to provide doctors of all levels with the opportunity to refresh and develop essential verbal and non-verbal communications skills.
The RCP has a long-standing relationship with Oman including hosting the bi-annual Advanced General Medicine Conference in partnership with the Sultan Qaboos University and the Oman Medical Specialty Board.
During 2015 the RCP worked with the West African College of Physicians (WACP) on a clinical training project aimed at reducing the rising burden of diabetes, hypertension and obesity in West Africa.
