Situated on the east entrance of Regent's Park with easy access to central London, the Royal College of Physicians' Grade I listed HQ houses a museum, gallery, seminar and lecture halls, meeting rooms, curated gardens and banquet suite.
The RCP was founded in 1518, and in our 500th year we’re taking the opportunity to look back on the history of medicine as well as to the future of healthcare.
The RCP archives contain oral history recordings of physicians of the past and a new project is recording the memories of current members and fellows. They document personal tales as well as seminal moments in medical – and world – history.
The RCP has a long history of campaigning to ensure that physicians are heard in government, and recent work with MPs continues to ensure doctors' voices are heard at the highest level.
The RCP museum welcomes all types of donations related to the history of medicine, including instruments, equipment, photographs, artwork and medical teaching models.
The RCP is working with local communities in our two main locations – Liverpool and London – on exciting secondary school pilot programmes. These initiatives are designed to educate, encourage and inspire secondary school pupils to consider a career in healthcare.
