A spectacular 18th-century anatomical atlas of the bones of humans and animals in the RCP library has just received expert conservation work.

Sir Richard Thompson was today re-elected as president of the RCP in a ballot organised by the Electoral Reform Services (part of the Electoral Reform Society). Sir Richard has been president since 2010. The other candidate in the election was Dr Richard Taylor.

Physician George Cheyne wrote an 18th century essay on health and long life, a self-help guide which is available in the RCP Library's collection.
