Podcasts

The RCP has three podcast channels to inform your work, set you thinking or simply provide welcome a distraction.

RCP Medicine podcast

A discussion of different topics relevant to physicians and physician associates, usually hosted by Dr Amie Burbridge, a consultant in acute medicine from Coventry. Episodes explore different topics and include real-life clinical cases, new evidence-based guidelines and specific physician issues in the modern healthcare environment.

The views expressed are those of Amie and other presenters and not necessarily the RCP.  Current podcasts have been made with an educational grant from Celgene. They have had no input or involvement whatsoever in the design, development and content of the podcasts.

RCP Garden podcast

Situated in the grounds of the Royal College of Physicians’ headquarters near Regent's Park, London, the medicinal garden was extensively replanted in 2005 and features over 1,300 species of plant. The RCP garden of medicinal plants is unique in that almost every one has a link to medicine.

Podcasts inspired by the RCP medicinal garden tell the stories behind the plants it contains and explore their connections with medicine. Presented by Professor Anthony Dayan, RCP garden fellow.

RCP Podopia

Watch this space – or listen! – as we add new podcasts, whether one-offs or regulars such as those linked to our journals, Clinical Medicine and Future Health Journal (FHJ). ClinMeditorial features the ClinMeditations of Professor Anton Emmanuel, on the latest issue of the RCP’s Clinical Medicine journal, which he edits. It is now joined by a new podcast, FHJBitesize, and there will be more coming to Podopia soon from a variety of presenters.
